Questionable sources

The Conservative Party has received significant recent cash injections from a number of Russian donors and their associates. They have also refused to clear the publication of a potentially incendiary report into Russian infiltration of British politics.

Many donations to the Conservative party also come from billionaires, particularly landlords and property developers.

In addition, many wealthy American donors have given money to right-wing UK groups. These groups include The Taxpayer's Alliance, which purports to be an independent grassroots campaign, but does not appear to actually be this. They also illegally sacked a whistleblower who revealed illegal activities by Vote Leave.

Rewards for donations

Many donors to the Conservative party have been rewarded for substantial donations with seats in the House of Lords.
